Refund policy

1. DEFINITIONS

In these Terms & Conditions:

  • “Rental” means the scooter hire agreement between Easy Aussie and the Renter.

  • “Scooter” means the 50cc moped provided by Easy Aussie.

  • “Renter” means the person hiring the Scooter.

  • “Bond” / “Security Deposit” means a refundable hold taken at pickup.

2. BOOKING & AGREEMENT

  1. All rentals must be booked online via the Easy Aussie website.

  2. The Renter must complete the Rental Agreement Form before collection.

  3. A refundable bond/security deposit is required at the time of signing the rental agreement and before key handover.

3. LICENCE & AGE REQUIREMENTS

  1. The Renter must be at least 18 years of age.

  2. The Renter must hold one of the following:

    • A valid Australian car licence, or

    • A valid international car licence (in English or with an official translation).

  3. Easy Aussie reserves the right to refuse rental if licence requirements are not met.

4. PAYMENT & SECURITY DEPOSIT

  1. The rental price and applicable bond amount will be shown at checkout.

  2. The security deposit may be held as a pre-authorisation on a credit/debit card prior to key release.

  3. The bond will be released after the Scooter is returned in acceptable condition, subject to inspection.

  4. Bond refunds may take up to 24 hours after return and inspection.

5. SCOOTER USE & SAFETY

  1. Renter agrees to follow Queensland road laws at all times.

  2. Helmets must be worn by the Renter (and any permitted passenger where applicable) at all times during operation.

  3. Scooters are not permitted on sidewalks, footpaths, bike paths, beachfront promenades, or pedestrian areas.

  4. Scooters must only be used for lawful travel on public roads permitted by the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads.

6. SCOOTER CONDITION & RETURN

  1. The Scooter is inspected prior to rental and recorded as being in acceptable condition.

  2. The Renter agrees to return the Scooter in the same condition, excluding normal wear and tear.

  3. Scooters must be returned by the agreed return time and location.

  4. Late returns may incur additional charges.

7. DAMAGE, LOSS, & LIABILITY

  1. The Renter is responsible for all loss or damage to the Scooter during the rental period.

  2. The Renter agrees to pay for repairs or replacement if damage exceeds normal wear and tear.

  3. The Renter is responsible for fines, penalties, or legal issues arising from traffic violations, parking fines, or improper use.

  4. Easy Aussie is not liable for loss, injury, or damage to persons or property resulting from use of the Scooter.

8. ACCIDENTS & BREAKDOWNS

  1. In the event of an accident, the Renter must:

    • Stop riding immediately

    • Contact Easy Aussie as soon as safely possible

    • Report the incident accurately

  2. The Renter must notify police if required under QLD law based on the severity of the accident.

9. WEATHER & RISK

  1. Scooters may be ridden in light rain; however, Renter assumes all risk associated with weather conditions.

  2. Easy Aussie does not offer refunds for weather-related issues.

10. CANCELLATION POLICY

  1. Cancellation terms and refund eligibility are clearly defined at checkout.

  2. Refunds for cancellations are processed in accordance with the policy shown at the time of booking.

11. PRIVACY & DATA

  1. Easy Aussie collects personal information for rental agreement and identification purposes.

  2. Personal data is stored securely and used in accordance with the privacy policy available on the website.

12. GOVERNING LAW

This Agreement is governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved under the jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.

13. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

By completing the rental agreement form and picking up the Scooter, the Renter acknowledges that they:

  • Agree to comply with all rental rules and obligations
